You may have heard the term “higher consciousness” but do you know what it really means?
Many gurus, sages and pundits have tried to explain what is higher consciousness to people over the ages, but for most people it’s inconceivable.
But just because you can’t articulate higher consciousness, doesn’t mean you haven’t experience it before. You may have had an experience of merging with your surrounding while walking in nature. Or you may have had an intense experience of unconditional love towards someone. This would count as states of higher consciousness.
Whatever the experience, you are tapping into this higher consciousness and able to perceive the world in a much different way than you would when you were in a lower state of consciousness.
Being in a higher state of consciousness allows you to:
- Be At-one-ness with all things
- Feel unconditional love towards someone
- Experience joy and bliss
- Transcend fear and anxiety
And a lot more. The more you experience higher states of consciousness, the more you are able to sustain it.
It’s similar to working out at the gym. The more you go to the gym, the greater and longer lasting your results will be.
You can attain higher states of consciousness by practicing mindfulness, meditation, prayer, contemplation, hypnotherapy, and so on.
The more you practice these techniques, the more connected you will feel to your higher self and to others. You will start to understand your purpose in life and start to do things that align with it.
