Do you find it challenging to stick with your meditation practice?
If so, then J. Krishnamurthy has another solution for you.
In this video, he goes against the grain by saying that you should stop practicing all together. Instead of analyzing your experiences, and trying to force your way to understanding, you should simply observe things as they are. By observing your thoughts for example, you mind will naturally calm down and become silent.
Also, there’s no need to say you’re going to meditate for an hour or two hours and so on. Even a few minutes of observation and attention to your thoughts can bring your mind to a quiet state.
He also says that if you want to have a mind that is free of dreams, you should incessantly observe your thoughts throughout the day. The dreams you currently have are simply a processing of information throughout the day. But by bring mindful awareness to your thoughts and experiences, you’ll be able to get sound (deep) sleep.
So according to J. Krishnamurthy, meditation is simply that act of observing your thoughts without analyzing them. For example, if you notice that your mind is wandering, that alone is enough to bring your mind back to the present moment. But if you continually criticize yourself not bring your mind back to the present, then you’ll never attain a meditative state. Just simply observe what’s happening — even if your mind wanders — and you be liberated from the subconscious forces of the mind.
